This Ecogarden is a hidden gem. Located in a quiet neighborhood of San Carlos/La Fortuna. We found it while walking the neighborhood, from the airbnb we booked. We were greeted by an employee when we walked in. Explained the difference options and we decided on the general admission self guided tour for $15 each person. Not sure of the exact size of the Ecogarden but its the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. We saw 3 sloths. Lots of birds and a spectacled owl. We enjoyed the trails. You feel like you are deep in a jungle once you step inside. Its completely covered with all the trees and leaves. It started to rain and we didnt feel a drop because it was so protected. We spent about an hour and a half there. You really can spend as much time as you like. As you dont have to rush through it. You can tend to walk in circles to be able to cover all the paths. As some of them cross each other. But not a complaint at all. Staff was walking through while we were there and pointed out 3 sloths for us and called us over to see them. As they were ahead of us. All in all it was a great experience and worth checking out. Best part about it. Is that its away from the huge crowds and you feel like you have the place to yourself.
